Multi-Hyphenate

I often hear, “wow! You’re doing a lot!”, whenever someone asks me how I am doing or what I have going on. Personally, as I am doing it, it doesn’t feel like “a lot”, but rather it’s how I like to operate. Healthy or not, I love to be busy, I feel like it helps me understand and push to reach my maximum potential.

So what do I do?? My current primary job is a program manager. My highest skill in that profession, is being able to review programs/processes to identify possible problems and strategize solutions to that problem. I have been in this profession for going on 17 years now, and I am still constantly learning something new!

I am also a fashion stylist. Never imagined that this would become a profession/skill that I developed, but it has quickly become one of my favorite hobbies! I love seeing women happy and embracing who they are and I love clothing so it’s a great marriage. I have built my clientele, through two stores, Ann Taylor and Hobbs London.

I have also been an event coordinator since high school. I used to plan schoolwide events, activities, conferences, through multiple clubs that I was a part of. That evolved to planning community/multi-state events, through a non-profit that I volunteered with and my church. I love to plan and execute that plan. I love to work together in teams of people of various backgrounds and skillsets and see them in their element as they skillfully execute their craft/display their gifts.

While charging my car, one day in January, I decided I wanted to create a blog (welcome)! In grade school, I used to write often and participated in competitions for poetry and short stories. I am very introverted, so it has always been easier for me to express my thoughts and opinions through writing (or typing lol), as opposed to in person, over the phone or through a camera. So I felt it only fitting to document my life journey via blog format.

To top everything off, I one day decided that I wanted to become a real estate agent. I have owned property and moved often and actually love the process of viewing homes and exploring new areas. Coupling that together with my joy of working together with and helping people, is a win win for me. I am finishing the last few modules of my coursework and rushing to take my exam, so that I may have my license before Spring.

There are definitely many other things that God has blessed me to be gifted in: cooking, caring for children, etc, but I’ll give you a peak at those as you join me on this journey of life.

Now I know you may read all of this and think…how are you introverted and do all of this…just know that when I get home, I am in silent mode lol. I have an hour+ long night routine to just debrief from my day and be able to sleep. Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy and make time to talk to loved ones, but if no one is home, a candle is lit, instrumentals are playing through my bose speaker, and I have temporarily left the earth lol.

If you’d like to learn more, just drop a comment below, or stay tuned for more posts as I share more about each of my skills as they apply to my everyday life. Thank you for reading and “see you soon”!.

Well welcome to the exhilarating world of blog. The platform of ideas, experiences, expressions..

the freedom of words, the door way to the hearts of others.

I’m not surprised at you being an introvert at all. Being an introvert doesn’t mean you don’t desire to help people. All the avenues you have chosen to explore benefit others. They are happy and you can have silent gratification at the same time. Admirable
